Information for Outgoing Students

What is the Erasmus+ program?

Erasmus+ is an EU program developed to promote student and teacher mobility within Europe. It allows students to study abroad for one to two semesters. It also enables faculty to teach abroad and staff to further their education. Testimony to the successful implementation of the Erasmus+ program at the university is the Erasmus Quality Seal, which was awarded to Bielefeld University by the DAAD in June 2012 for special merits in the implementation of student and staff mobility. The Department of Psychology has cooperation agreements with more than 30 partner universities in Europe.

Who can participate in the Erasmus+ program?

Psychology students regularly enrolled at Bielefeld University in the Bachelor or Master program can participate in the Erasmus+ program by completing a stay at a partner institution with which the Department of Psychology has an Erasmus+ agreement. All further information about the program and partner universities for psychology students interested in studying at one of our partner universities can be found in the Outgoing Students section.

Below you will find information about partner universities in the Psychology Department and the application process.
